Preventing food waste and ensuring any surplus food reaches those in need through local charities is a key focus of our waste and recycling aims.
We offer our customers a range of environmentally friendly food boxes, including home compostable lines, compostable cutlery, straws and stirrers across around product lines.
PACKAGING
Our effort is focused on using the greatest amount of biodegradable packaging.
SUSTAINABLE FISH
The Marine Conservation Society has identified a number of fish species which are from unsustainable, over-fished, highly vulnerable or poorly managed fisheries. This also includes species associated with unacceptable levels of by-catch.
Mediterranean Cave will not trade in these endangered or unsustainable fish or seafoods (fish identified as 'Category 5' by the Marine Conservation Society).
